What is Kambo?
Kambo cleanse is a healing ritual that originated in South America. Kambo is a poisonous substance secreted by the giant monkey frog. This creature is also known as the giant leaf frog. Phyllomedusa bicolor is its scientific name. The Amazon rainforest is home to the giant monkey frog. They are found in Brazil, Peru, and Venezuela. Many cultures revere giant monkey frogs for their healing powers.

While we DO NOT charge for our medicine, an Anyi (contribution) for each Treatment is requested to cover the expenses of the retreat, Ceremonial setting, Lodging, Meals, Services, and Facilitation you will receive during your time with us.

Preparation before Kambo Ceremony
✨It should be consumed on an empty stomach, bladder, and bowels.
✨Avoid solid food, especially SALT for 8-10 hours
✨Avoid alcoholic beverages for at least 24 hours prior to application

How is Kambo Administered?
The modern neoshamanic Kambo ritual's ultimate goal is to achieve 'healing' and 'cleansing' of the body, emotions, and spirit. In general, a Kambo ritual begins with drinking approximately 1 liter of water or cassava soup, followed by the therapist or Kambo practitioner creating a number of small burns with a glowing timber, typically 3-5, traditionally at the ankle or upper arm.
The Kambo ceremony is designed to offer a safe environment for an uncomfortable experience while taking discomfort into account. People who take part in Kambo are aware of what is coming. Because there shouldn't be any distractions with Kambo, there are none during the experience. It's a well-known proverb that Kambo provides you with what you require but not what you desire. In this way, Kambo functions as both frog medicine and frog poison.

More knowledge of Kambo
The Caboclo people traditionally recommend taking Kambo three times in a moon cycle, or within 28 days. Known as the Kambo inoculation, Kambo can be taken three days in a row, a few days between sessions, or a week between sessions. It is a matter of personal preference as well as what is required for the initial intention of the Kambo ritual. You should expect to spend at least 3–4 hours per day receiving and processing Kambo. It takes time to regain your strength and integrate your knowledge. Prepare to be silent, turn off your phone, and respect the ceremonial space set aside for the Kambô and others. Please do not fast for 7 days before or after taking Kambo. There will also be no enemas or colonics.
